PCB / PCBA RFQ preparation summary Project type: PCB assembly Lifecycle: Prototype Quantity: 50 Layer count: 4 Board size: 100 x 80 mm Finished thickness: 1.6 mm Copper weight: 1 oz Surface finish: ENIG Controlled impedance: No / not sure Missing required files or notes: BOM with manufacturer part numbers, Pick-and-place / CPL file, Assembly drawing and polarity notes Additional notes: None
This checklist improves RFQ completeness, but final pricing still depends on engineering review, manufacturing capability, component sourcing, and quality requirements.
PCB fabrication requirements
- Gerber and NC drill files exported from the same design revision
- Layer count, board size, finished thickness, copper weight, and surface finish
- Solder mask color, silkscreen color, panelization need, and special routing notes
- Controlled impedance target and stackup request when required
Assembly requirements
- BOM with designator, quantity, value, package, and manufacturer part number
- Pick-and-place file with rotation and side information
- Assembly drawing for polarity, connector orientation, no-fit parts, and special process notes
- Inspection, programming, conformal coating, or functional test requirements
Engineering review notes
- Tell the supplier which specs are fixed and which can be adjusted for manufacturability
- Flag critical components, approved alternates, lifecycle risk, and sourcing constraints
- Include target delivery date and whether partial shipment is acceptable
